Celestron 1.25" Universal Barlow Lens and T-Adapter
This multi-functional Celestron Universal Barlow & T-Adapter (93640)had offered flexibility during Astrophotography. This 1.25” Telescope Accessory can be used three ways:
Use as 2X Barlow for visual use
Use as Prime focus T-adapter
Use as “Barlowed” T-adapter for double the magnification
This easy and simple Universal T-Adapter with Integrated Barlow Lens can be used as a 2X Barlow, by inserting any 1.25” eyepiece into the chamber, you are able to double the magnification, while retaining all the eye relief of the inserted eyepiece.
The Celestron Universal Barlow & T-Adapter also can be used for prime focus photography, which means you will use your telescope as a very big photographic lens. Just unscrew the bottom section of the unit to remove the Barlow Lens and slide the chrome barrel into the telescope’s 1.25” focuser or adapter. Lock it firmly in place with the focuser or adapter thumbscrew.
Some Refractors or Newtonians Telescopes may not have enough focus travel to allow the photographic image to come to focus during prime focus mode, so adding in the Barlow Lens to the T-Adapter will allow the telescope to reach the focus. Prime focus are popular for short exposure images of terrestrial objects as well as celestial objects like the Moon.
Before even started, you have to get an appropriate T-Ring for your camera body (#93402 for Nikon & #93419 for Canon EOS are sold separately), then remove the lens from your camera and attach the T-ring in its place.
