Great First Scope. - Review by Laurence
Overall Score
For somebody who has been fascinated by anything space for most of their lives and is looking at getting a telescope. I highly recommend this.

I'd never even touched a telescope before I bought this, so I thought it would be good to test the waters with this scope before moving on to something else.

Don't expect to see a great deal with this but if you're happy to look at the moon, a couple of planets and some constellations. You won't be disappointed.

Very fast delivery and great customer service. (Posted on 12/04/12)

Excellent beginner scope - Review by Damian
Overall Score
looking at the stars is always something i've wanted to do and i believe this telescope allowed me to do this for a relatively good price. As i was just starting out i was told to spend $200 on a good pair of binoculars but for me spending over $100 seemed a bit much.

I can honestly say i wasn't expecting much from the firstscope but what has it shown me has me hooked.

I've seen the moons of jupiter orbiting, craters on the moon in detail i never expected, the red giant Betelgeuse flickering, orions belt, numerous globular cluster galaxies and the great nebula in orion.

All of these things were seen in the center of a city in my backyard, i cant wait to take it out to the country and get a night of clearskies! (Posted on 2/12/11)

great first scope!!! - Review by rick
Overall Score
i just received my scope today, delivery was fast and efficient. Scope looks great, its light and user friendly. Manged to see Jupiter and 4 moons, not as much detail as i hoped but is expected for a scope of this size. Found jewel box cluster, it looked awesome. overall i love this scope and am glad i purchased it. Only one downside, it makes you want a bigger telescope after using this. Will definately have many nights filled with viewing awe. A++ (Posted on 27/01/11)

Excellent Service & good product - Review by Jenette Serra
Overall Score
I bought this telescope for my 8yo son, after much research etc... I am glad I decided on this one, for the price it is excellent & allows my son to become more interested in astronomy.

The service from Ozscopes was absolute second to none - I ordered on Tuesday PM (after hours) & had received the delivery by 1pm Thursday. Less than 48 hrs later. I rang on the Wednesday to check when it would be despatched & the customer service was great - nothing was any trouble. I had the product in time for son's birthday on the Friday. I highly recommend Ozscopes! (Posted on 18/01/11)

Consider binoculars - Review by Jimmy French
Overall Score
Great service from Ozscopes. Firstscope arrived within days, in good condition. They even tracked down my delivery when the post office misplaced it.
Firstscope is a good kids telescope but the images are what you would expect for the price. Consider binoculars as an equally effective but more robust and portable option.

Ideal First Scope - Review by Tim

Fantastic as a first scope. Beware though, you will want a bigger scope once you've used this one for a couple of clear nights. (Posted on 16/12/10)

Best first telescope ever! - Review by Ross
Overall Score
For the price this scope is absolutely fantastic. The mirror is high quality, the image is very clear, and it doesn't con you with cheap, overpowered lenses like a lot of starter telescopes do.

The mount is extremely well made, and it is very easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a starter telescope, but doesn't want to shell out several hundred dollars.
