Great budget binoculars for the starter. - Review by Elizabeth Jones
Overall Score
These are great binoculars for the price. The rubberised cover makes them good to use if you have to wear glasses. the zoom is useful, but not good quality, and not easy to get into focus. (Posted on 9/01/12)

Pros: Great quality all-round binos, great focus adjustment and high quality protective rubberised cover

Good Value for Money - Review by Mike
Overall Score
The rubber grip is excellent, nice clear images, easy to zoom and focus, an all round good binocular for anyone looking for an affordable one, probably the only con I could mention would be the carry case is very basic, but personally it doesn't worry me at all, still good value for the price. Exceptional value for money! - Review by Ryan K.
Overall Score
I specifically wanted great zoom binoculars and after having researched extensively, I am very happy with my decision to purchase the Celestron up-close binoculars. They must be amongst the best value and performing binoculars for their size and cost. (Posted on 31/05/10)

Great all-round zoom binos packed with features for the price - Review by BravoBravo
Overall Score
These are a great set of binoculars, especially for the money.

Commonly, zoom binoculars sacrifice quality of construction and optics for the versatility of a zoom - these are the exception.

The rubberised covering/coating is high quality and provides effective grip and comfort for long term use. The hinges are strong and stable and allow for a wide range of users profiles (shape of your face).

The focus adjustment knob is very well designed and easy to make fine adjustment with - which is just as well as the focus range is sensitive!

The zoom function is also very good, with the normal zoom level being smooth - again, just as well as the zoom is also sensitive.

The lens covers and the neck strap aren't of the greatest quality, but both are easily and cheaply replaced. Tethered lens covers would compliment these great binos very well. I would happily rate these 5 stars if these additions were of a higher quality. Unfortunately for my rating, these don't effect the performance of the binoculars at all!!

As it stands, for the price (I paid AUS$115) these are a great set of binos for hunting, outdoors, sports and probably bird watching (but in a different way to the hunting application I suppose...).

The only adverse comments that I have seen internationally, when considering purchasing these, was about lenses being misaligned at receipt (of postage). Celestron, and Oz Hut's, no fault warranty for these binoculars ensures they are a safe purchase. (Posted on 13/10/09)

Pros: Great quality all-round binos, very versatile and easy to use with powerful zoom, great focus adjustment and high quality protective rubberised cover
Cons: Sensitive zoom and focus (not really negative), standard lens covers
