21-years-old and still doing the job - Review by David John
Overall Score
I purchased my 'Mountaineer' in 1991 and I have used it every day since. It has travelled around the world with me and it has never let me down, The array of tools make it a perfect and essential accessory for travel, both business and pleasure. Great for the adventurer or the pampered vacationer.
The scissors, in my experience, have many everyday applications for the traveller and are a far more useful tool than pliers . This knife is of a good weight and is comfortable to hold (neither too wide nor too thin)
I dropped my 'Mountaineer' on a concrete floor last week and chipped off a small piece of the plastic handle. I have dropped it hundreds of times in its 21-year life and this is the first damage sustained. That is impressive durability!
This is one for the pocket knife 'hall of fame'. (Posted on 7/02/12)
