Details
The SAXON Dobsonian 10 Reflector Telescope is a powerful telescope which allows you to see further into the nightsky without bursting your budget. They are one of the Best First Time User's Telescope as they give the most value. This is due to its unique design, whereby the majority of the product cost goes into its high-quality lens.

The Saxon Dobsonian range of telescopes come in 6", 8", 10", and 12". The SAXON Dob 8 " has an aperture of 203mm which is significantly much larger than other telescopes.

It also comes with Plossl lens which are one of the more expensive to manufacture because of the quality of glass, and the need for well matched convex and concave lenses to prevent internal reflections. Set up is a lot easier compared to tripod-based models. Simply mount the main unit on the base and you're good to go.

The Saxon 10” Dobsonian features a primary mirror made of Pyrex glass. Because of its very low coefficient of thermal expansion, Pyrex glass is less affected by changing temperatures. This greatly reduces the cooling time of a telescope larger than 8” in dameter without using an extra fan. The great stability of this low expansion glass ensures high quality images. It is also substantially more resistant to scratching then plate glass. Available on 254mm/120mm (10") only

This telescope won't disappoint - Review by Adam Sederkenny
Overall Score
I've only had this scope for a short time but I have been able to get some observing done and the results were great. It may have been a minor challenge to take it outside but once its out there you will find that it was worth it! The telescope brings beautiful images and it is easy to use.I checked out Jupiter and it was stunning and I also love how smooth the focusing mechanism is. Sure it might be a little problem if you want to take somewhere less light polluted but once you got everything set up your in for a very good night of observing. I love this telescope and I'm sure you will to. Thanks OZScopes!!! (Posted on 14/12/09)
